American Travelers

Traveling to Mexico

Mexico is fully open to any travelers. Furthermore, there is no need to provide a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival, nor need to quarantine. Once you arrive, you will be required to fill out a health checkup questionnaire. Vaccinated American travelers returning into the United States must show a negative COVID-19 test (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid) taken within three days of flight departure. In addition, to ensure safe COVID-19 update procedures, follow CDC guidelines closely.

Traveling to Hawaii

American travelers who have are fully vaccinated have a green light to enter Hawaii. On the other hand, non-vaccinated travelers must show a negative COVID-19 test result (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid).

Alongside, 24 hours before departure, travelers must answer the health questionnaire on your Safe Travels account.

For domestic travelers to avoid quarantine when entering Hawaii, U.S citizens flying directly to Hawaii from an international destination must provide either of these options: (1) proof of a vaccination card AND a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days before flight departure. Or (2) a negative COVID-19 test from 24 hours before boarding your flight to Hawaii.

Traveling to The Caribbean

Costa Rica

The Government of Costa Rica does not require tourists entering by air, land, or sea to present a negative COVID-19 test nor quarantine upon arrival. The only country requirements are to complete a digital HEALTH PASS, 72 hours before arrival. Travelers departing from the United States are required to present a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid).

Dominican Republic 

Before visiting the Dominican Republic, American travelers that are fully vaccinated and unvaccinated do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test. Check the U.S. Embassy for further information.

To enter back into the United States from the Caribbean, travelers must present a negative COVID-19 test result to verify safety (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid).

For Canadian Travelers

Traveling to Mexico

International travelers entering the U.S. via another state or territory will be treated as domestic travelers when entering the State of Hawaii.

Whereas to enter back into Canada, travelers must follow safe COVID-19 updates on ArriveCan to eliminate any delays when traveling around. Fully Vaccinated travelers can pass quickly, and unvaccinated travelers may be subject to a randomized COVID-19 test.

Traveling to The Caribbean

Costa Rica

Since the government of Costa Rica does not require tourists entering by air, land, or sea to present a negative COVID-19 test nor quarantine upon arrival. Anyone visiting Costa Rica is requested to abide by the sanitary protocols when participating in tourist activities throughout the country. The only country requirements are to complete a digital HEALTH PASS 72 hours before arrival.

Dominican Republic 

Canadian travelers can quickly enter the Dominican Republic; there is no need to present proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests.

Lastly, when travelers return to Canada, they must fill out their ArriveCan data, ensuring safe COVID-19 updates to the government. Remember that you might be randomly selected to take a COVID-19 test when arriving back in Canada.
