Recently, Guide Me Away’s CEO, Lia Hershkovitz and our travel expert, Shelly Shpanya, were invited to the beautiful Paradisus Los Cabos, a resort that perfectly aligns with our commitment to delivering exceptional getaways.

A First-Class Invitation
Paradisus Los Cabos, part of the Melia Hotels International brand, is a member of Leading Hotels of the World. This five-star, all-inclusive resort completed a transition to become an adults-only resort in January 2024, unveiling revamped suites and a serene, adults focused ambiance.
Nestled between the breathtaking desert and sea landscapes of Baja California, the resort boasts everything from world-class dining to wellness facilities, all with the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean’s stunning vistas. The well-situated resort is a short 25-minute drive from Los Cabos International Airport and just 15 minutes from San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. With an invitation to escape the fall rain, we couldn’t wait to experience firsthand what this haven of serenity has to offer.
Melia Hotel Group are making a conscious effort to elevate and reinvent the all-inclusive vacation, with what they call Destination Inclusive. At Paradisus, you can expect the best of an All-Inclusive resort, such as 7 restaurants and 7 bars, four swimming pools and a large and swimmable beach, rare among resorts in Los Cabos. Beyond this, Paradisus offers The Reserve – an elevated experience that isn’t just All-Inclusive, it’s Destination Inclusive. Reserve guests enjoy access to an elite room category and access to exclusive resort areas including private pools, lounges and secluded sections of the beach. Reserve guests can also enjoy a carefully curated range of immersive activities inside and outside the hotel to take in the culture and beauty of the surrounding area. These include activities such as workshops with local artisans, private cooking classes with a chef, personalized yoga classes by a crystal clear cenote, and much more.
We had a chance to experience Destination Inclusive activities while visiting Paradisus. A day trip to San Jose was a great way to get out and check out this charming town. It included transportation, a guided tour through the city streets, and an exclusive tour of a local chocolate factory – yum!
Back at the resort, a painting and wine class was a perfect way to take in the ocean view and create a souvenir – even for self-proclaimed “non artists”, this was a true highlight!
We love this elevated experience for our clients – instead of booking separate excursions, having activities included in your stay is a huge perk and a reminder that an All-Inclusive can offer more than just relaxation—it’s about discovery and embracing the spirit of new experiences, even for a short while, before returning to the pool!
Experiencing Modern Luxury
Upon arrival at Paradisus, we were treated to a warm welcome that set the tone for our entire stay. From the seamless and personalized check-in, it was clear that Paradisus Los Cabos excels at anticipating the needs of its guests. We noticed throughout the trip that all hotel staff were friendly, greeting guests with smiles and a wave.
As Reserve guests, we stayed in The Reserve Suite Ocean View rooms. It was noticeable that the suites are renovated, spacious, modern and clean. The neutral tones are elegant and calming, creating a seamless connection with the stunning environment.
The resort’s layout, designed to blend with its natural surroundings, offered a perfect mix of luxury and tranquility. The resort is big enough to explore and small enough to feel intimate. It’s well kept and clean with little touches of elevated luxury to create an even more comfortable guest experience. Some stand outs for us included a sunscreen station by the pool and fresh towels already on the loungers (which there were plenty of).

Culinary Excellence at Every Turn
We were thoroughly impressed by the culinary experiences at Paradisus. With seven restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, the resort promised—and delivered—a journey for the taste buds.
One highlight was “Agua Marina” where we enjoyed locally sourced seafood taking in the sunset in the open-air ambiance. The “Fresco Food Truck” next to the main pool was the perfect place to grab a taco to go with that poolside margarita.
To note, since many restaurants have an open air design, many lack AC. We did prefer the restaurants to the buffet, which lacked variety, but overall found that each dining experience offered something unique, reflecting the resort’s commitment to excellence and quality.
A Focus on Wellness Over Entertainment
Paradisus activities focus on wellness and wellbeing, supporting guests in taking better care of themselves. Experience Sound Healing to release blockages and negative emotions through the sounds of bowls that calibrate the vibratory frequencies of the body. Practice sunrise yoga or even pilates on water. Or get pampered at the spa with a rejuvenating and revitalising deep-tissue massage. This focus is perfect for Guide Me Away clients looking to nourish both the body and the soul.
The chill vibe of Paradisus continued into the evenings where we enjoyed live music and drinks. We did find that there wasn’t as much entertainment as other resorts – the wellness activities and quieter evenings keep with the serene and tranquil vibe of Paradisus. We love this for anyone who wants to get away from the busier and loud hotels. So if you are looking for a fun party or big shows, this may not be the resort for you (but we can tell you which ones are!)
